I love it when a client asks me to help explain a complicated, nuanced issue to government policy makers and others who lack the underlying technical knowledge. Quite often, a short explainer video helps do the trick.

For example, when you hear the word “packaging,” you probably think of the carboard box and plastic wrapping that comes with most consumer products.

But “advanced packaging” is “the new king of innovation” in the world of semiconductor chips and electronics manufacturing. What is it, and why should policy makers pay more attention to it?

DCC helped our client IPC explain the issue by scripting and producing this 90-second video. It features easy-to-understand language and animations about what advanced packaging is; how it fits into the supply chains of products as varied as military jets and smartphones; and why government leaders should adopt a strategy that boosts all sectors involved in electronics manufacturing, not just semiconductor chips. The video is being distributed and promoted via all of IPC’s channels.
